IF Ensign lends  you something, immediately lose it.

Don’t even bother looking for it.  

CMMDR Rule #59  

Even if Ensign enquires about said item feign ignorance.  Change the subject. Make a 'joke' along the lines of "I'm getting to it" or "I wouldn't think I shouldn't" or "YOU?".  Anything to get Said Ensign off Said Trail of Said lost item.

CMMDR Rule #60 

If Lost Item becomes a subject harped on by Ensign, offer to buy said Item again and hope Ensign will forget about it.

                     Lost Item that belonged to Ensign will be found approximately three years later under LA-Z-Boy Cushion but, alas,  you will have no idea what it is or where it came from.   You will toss this treasure back under another pile labeled "Trash".
