The Cmmdr, who by all
accounts was exceedingly good in the title role of The Imaginary Invalid this
summer up at Bard’s prestigious SummerScape Festival, and who, returning to New
York from a truly prodigious television career including two long running hit
series as well as a plethora of stellar guest starring roles in an expansive
grab bag of episodics reaching back to the early eighties, in addition to some
daunting character turns in a over a score of features helmed by a network of
formidable film directors, and who, evidenced not only by his dynamic yet low
key work in David Mamet’s NOVEMBER a few season back, but also by an impressive
and lengthy string of credits at major off Broadway venues and top notch
Regional theatres, has once again captured – no, seized – a role in a new
Terence McNally gem which, though not the lead, promises to show the theatre
world that Mr. Phillips is indeed one of our stages’ stalwart state-of-the-art
wingmen.

I am mildly rankled to discover that SOME people are
allowed to write wicked-long, dependent clause-heavy,
run-on sentences...
And OTHER people get all yelled at & stuff about it
by other OTHER people.
About whom, let's face it, if push came to shove,
names would be named.
Unless it's an homage. Or a radical change in policy.
In which case, my rankle is transmuted to rapture.
But still.
.
The previous comment's "salt" sticks in my
stillborn-career craw.
As The Ensign's punim (viz "dead-career face") is currently on display --
being all talented & stuff -- on like probably an
800 foot high screen in multi-plexes all across the USA.
As well points all international and shit.
Not to mention every 12 seconds on my TV, by the way.
The Ensign's nose hairs have enjoyed more viewership
than my entire body of hapless kareer low-lights.
The Ensign-heimer should maybe settle down and take his blue chems already.
Um. As lower case g. Doesn't seem to understand, the ensign, not being as talented or as funny as the commander, has not been employed for 3/4 of a year. And although a film he has a minor part in is presently playing it means absolutely nothing. No one has called about his "avail" and his agents have barely recognized that he was in it and have taken no interest in furthering his career.
Hey Philip Glass --
You needed to post that THREE TIMES in a row???
Say it, don't spray it, man.

RE: "Cmmdr V. Ensign: Who's Funnier? More Talented?"
Girls! Girls! You're ALL pretty!
But categorically speaking, my answer is this:
Loping: Cmmdr.
Hebronics: Ensign.
Jazz Hands: Cabin Boy.
Pointy-ness: You.
