What little was left of the Cmmdr’s business ventures has completely collapsed, capsized by a rogue wave of poor performance and bad luck. Though at one point in time, the mediocre performer managed to bring in a salary from two insipid television series, he now flounders in a sea of infrequent auditions, and sadly, is slowly sinking. Never recognized by his peers, ignored by the industry, mocked by his colleagues behind his back, the odd-looking, uncastable little leftover wanders through endless sunny days, wondering why. Indeed, his mind may be going. ‘Any idiot can be an actor, look at me!” he shouts to strangers he encounters at pet food stores and at dog runs. The end is not only near; it’s here.
